Color Me Surprised is a free resource for printable coloring sheets for kids and adults. Our mission is to provide high-quality, fun, and engaging coloring pages that anyone can print and enjoy at home. We hope that you can use this site to find some surprising and anthropomorphic coloring sheets to brighten your day! We plan to add new sheets regularly, so check back often for fresh content.
Who made this site?
I did - a working front end engineer with 4 boys. My oldest, Max, is learning some web development ropes along the way to support our efforts. As we grow more confident, we will be learning how to train our own large language model on an art style that can create our Capybara Crew! This was a family project through and through - and we hope you all like it!
Why so many capybaras?
Because Henry loves capybaras! And capybaras are friends with everyone. Seriously, we exhausted the Internet's supply of capybara coloring sheets and started making our own.
Fun Capybara Facts!
- World's Largest Rodent: Capybaras can weigh up to 140 pounds and grow over 4 feet long!
- Semi-Aquatic: They have webbed feet and can hold their breath underwater for up to 5 minutes to hide from predators.
- Social Butterflies: Capybaras live in groups of 10-20 individuals and are known for being incredibly friendly with other animals.
- Nature's Chair: Birds, turtles, monkeys, and even cats love to sit on capybaras because they're so calm and chill!
- Veggie Lovers: They eat about 8 pounds of grass and aquatic plants every day.
- Submersible: Their eyes, ears, and nostrils are positioned on top of their head so they can stay mostly submerged in water.
- Family First: Baby capybaras can run, swim, and dive within hours of being born!
